stottilien 2014 in the rear mirror – have a good 2015 and be aware of the Black Swan.

Dear Reader

Thanks to all of you and also to fellow blog writers and commenters, from whom I still learn a lot. Amazing how diverse and colourful the world is. The power of one is enormous. Let’s trust our intuition and own judgement not the mainstream.

This the season to make lists, and a list shall be made. We tend to see each year as extraordinary, and in some sense, each year is. But in a broader sense, 2014 was more than another year in a long chain of human triumph and failures. By any measure, 2014 has been a truly historic year, which saw huge, I would say, even tectonic developments. This year ends in very high instability, and the future looks hard to guess. Marvelous things have happened, but wars have been waged, disease has broken out, and global events went from bizarre to  unreal. We are in transition. The Unconscious is real, the Shadow may gain autonomy, said C.G. Jung. And so it is. Have a good 2015 and be aware of the Black Swan..

This blog, humbly following G.G. Jung, was viewed more than 70,000 times in 2014, close to 6000 visitors a month, coming from 171 countries. Most visitors came from The United States. France, Switzerland, Germany, Canada & U.K. were not far behind. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum,  that is equivalent to the number Louvre visitors of 3 days.  My new years resolution, give more posts a concise Powerpoint presentation and better Grammar checking…

Sincerely, FallenAngel
